'93 SEGUSO Vaso Abisso Glass Vase

Unavailable
This spheriodal vase was one of only 99 that were hand-blown in 1993 by the Murano artist, Giampaolo Seguso (son of the master Archimede Seguso), to celebrate the opening of his new factory, Seguso Vero. This limited edition piece, entitled Vaso Abisso, was inscribed by the artist himself. It features a rounded patch rim with black Damasco decoration and two big transparent eyes. Measures approximately 10" x 10" x 5" and weighs an estimated 8-10 lbs. This work is in pristine condition and still carries the Murano Made in Italy sticker. Also included in this listing is the original watercolor painted by Giampaolo Seguso, signed and numbered to match the piece. We have two other works by Giampaolo Seguso, so please search our inventory to see these other fine pieces. In 1993 Seguso designed this piece and twenty-nine others, each sold in a limited edition of just 99, to celebrate and promote his new factory. This collection was featured in the book La Galleria Dei 99: L' Incalmo by Rosa Barovier Mentasti.
