5 Orig. Posters-Quebec Theater Theme -70's+80's

The politics of the province of Quebec have always provided inspiration for it's homegrown poets, musicians, playwrights and composers. In the 1970's and 80's (and today!) there was a great uprising of nationalist sentiment amongst the French population of the province who felt that they had been treated as second-class citizens for too long. This social and political malaise was very evident in the outpouring of music and performance pieces - and posters of same - during that period. This group of 5 posters feature theater pieces produced during the period - for better or worse, these pieces of ephemera of the only remnants available - Internet research did not produce any results on the works, the artists or the subjects. These posters were in the private collection of a noted jazz musician and producer and are only a couple of hundreds which we have just received. The others will be appearing in our ebay store shortly. Posters measure: #1 28 x 24 inches, #2 15 x 18 inches, #3 22 x 11, #4 16 x 24, #5 10.5 x 16.
