The active families of the mid-century embraced plastic kitchenware. This outstanding example of plasticware has 2 plates and a bowl. The center post is a thin metal encased in clear plastic and topped with a worn brass ring final. The hostess could carry the multi colored 11.5" high server to the living room or diningroom as well as out to the patio by the great ring finial. She did not have to be concerned about breakage because of the wonderful new material. The 3 most popular mid-century colors were used in this unusual serving piece. The bottom 10" diameter plate is pink, the middle 7" diameter plate is turquoise and the 5.25" bowl is yellow. The photograph does not show the color well. This happens with indoor winter photography.
