20TH CENTURY OIL ON PANEL OF GLOUCESTER HARBOR SCENE

Unavailable
Mid-20TH Century Oil on Board of North shore Gloucester in Massachusetts. This is one of three painting that we are listing on Go Antiques. All three of these paintings were purchased out of a estate in Philadelphia. All three of these paintings were painted by Captain Bayard Fish Foulke. This painting measures 12" X 8 3/4". It is a oil on panel with total frame measuring 14 1/2" X 11 1/2". A very well known painter of famous clipper ships who had a life long fascination with the sea. Born at Oyster Bay, Long Island on February 28, 1880. He was one of three sons of Theodore and Ida Foulke. He was a Sea Captain who sailed the high seas for over 50 years. I first became aware about him a year ago when I bought my first Foulke Painting. It had the signatures of all the mates of that sailing ship. That one like this one and two others that we are offering for sale are of a sailing ships. this one and the other two that I am listing on Go Antiques are of sailing boats. This one and the other two that I am listing were probably done in Gloucester, Massachusetts as they resemble the art work style of boats in Gloucester. This painting is in very good condition with absolutely no problems. The buyer of this painting and the other ones that I am selling,I will guarantee be very happy with their purchase. We have two other paintings by this artistt listed on go antiques and also on our web site--wwww.mimisantiques.com
