A fine quality soft pine early neoclassic fireplace mantle piece of the circa 1800-1820.The frieze is mounted with three tablets, the central one paneled with cut corner ends. The moulded mantel shelf has a break front to agree with the two end tablets which form moulded capitals over applied pilasters which are footed in projected plinths. The mantel interior is mounted with a moulded trim section. The mantel has been hand cleaned of all old paint buildup, woodwork repairs have been made as necessary and a rich hand rubbed patina finish applied. Should you wish to paint the mantel, use a soft cloth with turpentine to remove any wax from the surface of the mantel prior to painting.
This mantle should be installed by your mechanic in accordance with all local fire and building codes.
