To a fine quality fireplace surround constructed of pine and presently painted. The mantel shelf has a pearl trim. Below is a course of Wall of Troy dentillation. The mantel frieze has 3 applied tablets. The entire frieze is decorated with composition ornament having classic urns, flowers, web paterae, and swags of bellflowers and bow knots. The mantel jambs or legs have moulded trim surrounding composition ornament of Athenian flowers and feathers. The mantel is in good condition and it has a large opening for its size. This mantel has been cleaned of all old paint buildup, woodwork repairs have been made as necessary and a rich hand rubbed patina finish applied. Should you wish to paint the mantel, use a soft cloth with turpentine to remove any wax from the surface of the mantel prior to painting.
This mantle should be installed by your mechanic in accordance with all local fire and building codes.
