Albert Arthur Allen (1886 - 1962) devoted his career to the photographic representation of the female nude, at a time when that was still not openly lawful, and he was prosecuted for it. He presented his photographs in a series of albums. These are two original gelatin silver prints from "The Female Figure", Series 3 (1924) They each show three poses of a nude model. There is a trivial scratch in plate 25.
