1st Colored Voter Medal Presentation History and Proceedings attending to the presentation of a medal to Thomas Peterson Mundy in commemoration of his having been the First Colored Citizen in the United States to cast a vote under the 15th Amendment. 1935 Reprint H.E. Pickersgill, Perth Amboy, N.J. 20 pages in excellent condition. Also included are 2 newspaper clippings regarding the life of Mr. Peterson. Mr. Peterson treasured his medal and never considered himself properly dressed without it. A fascinating historical artifact.
