19th century PINK Victorian Dip quill pen &case

Unavailable
For all you ladies who LOVE PINK , here is a lovely vintage Victorian era quill or dip pen made by Aiken Lambert & Co in the late 1800's or early 1900's. This late 19th Century dip pen had a PINK mother of pearl handle and either a gold or gold filled nib with a gold or gold filled part that holds the nib. The nib is marked AIKEN. The geometric pattern, otherwise known as chased and engraved is a lovely example of work of this period. It has a beautiful engraved Art Deco design in the gold. It comes in its original leather box that is hinged with two sickle shaped sliding hooks. Aikin Lambert claimed to have been in business since 1864. Throughout the 1800s they produced a wide variety of mechanical pencils, jewelry and gold dip pens. Their pencils were of the magic style, twist actions and many were figural taking shapes such as bottles, bells and many others. They also produced toothpicks, ear spoons and thimbles. They sold wide selection of gold dip pens nibs from small to huge and in every style that was in demand. Many fountain pen companies purchased nibs from them to use in their pens including Waterman and Wirt. This one is in great condition (coming from someone how knows nothing about the mechanical part of pens).
