19th century Dervish sword Kaskara from the time of Mahdi (Mohammed Ahmed) insurrection against the colonial rules in Sudan. The Double-edged blade is engraved on both sides with Arabic writing. The cross guard is made of brass; the wooden hilt with covering from crocodiles hide. This unusual crocodile tail scabbard is with two companion daggers. The sword is in good condition Overall length; 30 inches.
