This is a magnificent Commode, originally coming from Paris, made by the second half of the 19th century and directly inspired by the Louis XVI era approximately a century earlier. This piece is topped by its original French Black marble sitting upon a slightly bombe façade featuring an upper drawer highlighted with inlaid fluted patterns above a pair of bottom drawers sans-traverse accented with quarter veneer, all supported by a slightly scrolled legs. Some scratches and dents can be seen here and there due to the age. Circa date 1880. Dimensions 35"high/ 51"wide/ 22 ½"deep.
