To a fine quality Harrisburg Pennsylvania area Neo-classic mantel with rich center panel carved in gouge work. The frieze also has two other panels or end tablets carved in reeding. The mantel legs or jambs are also moulded in the neo-classic manner. The pilasters are footed on plinths. Note: the mantel has been reformed in the late federal period, to update it to current tastes. At that time a richly moulded bowed shelf was added.This mantel has been hand cleaned of all old paint buildup, small woodwork repairs made where necessary and a deep rich patina finish applied.
This mantel should be installed by your mechanic in accordance with all local fire and building codes.
