1987 Rockdale Union Stoneware Co. salt glaze pitcher, commemorating 150 years of Michigan's statehood. This pottery piece has a pebbly textured glaze, and is gray with brown flecks, with cobalt liquid clay decoration, a dark brown glazed interior, and an unglazed bottom. It features "MICHIGAN" above a cobalt striped flag, with gray stars in the shape of a star on a cobalt background. Beneath the flag is "1837 - 1987". There is a cobalt flower on the back, with an impressed Rockdale mark ("ROCKDALE UNION STONEWARE CO., CAMBRIDGE, WIS." in an oval) with "1987" and a potter's mark in the shape of a starfish underneath. This piece measures 4.5 inches high and is in very good to excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition.
