1960s Orange Pierre Paulin Ribbon Chair
This original Ribbon Chair (model F582), designed in 1965 by Pierre Paulin, dates from the 1960s and was recently restored. This chair was crafted from wood, bent tubular steel, foam padding and fabric. Restoration included removal of old upholstery, replacement of foam padding, stripping and refinishing of base. Measures 27.75 inches high, 38" wide, 21" deep, and the seat height is 14" and seat depth is 16". There are remnants of an old label on the underside, but no other hallmarks. This chair resides with our client on the Upper West Side of Manhattan ( New York city ) and may be seen by appointment.
