19521A Antique Victorian Carved Marble Top Sideboard - Civil War Era

Unavailable

We are pleased to be offering today this wonderful Victorian age marble top carved unusual mirrored front sideboard that dates from the 1860s to 1870s.  It is a unique piece that was sold many years ago to a person out here on the west coast by my friend’s dad and now my friend has come to buy it back.  What a case of Déjà vu.  It has plenty of shelves and mirrors have been replaced on the front of the doors to look more elaborate.  It has serpentine front, serpentine drawers that are hand cut dove tail drawers, ogee bevel edge cookie corner black and gray grained marble. The top has a double shelf display with a backboard that has a great detail carved crest and also has double mirrors.  The overall size is 44 inches wide, 22 inches deep on the base and 75 inches high overall.  The glass handles are not original, but are easy to replace.  There is a small piece of carving missing on the right hand door.  The marble is in nice original condition with some small stains.  This piece was refinished a long time ago, likely the 60s or 70s.  Shipping starts at $385 for a driveway delivery in our normal area.  Please contact us prior to purchase to confirm that you are within our normal area.
