1950's Sterling Crossed Swords Military Academy Graduation Pin

This sterling crossed swords pin has a shield in the middle with the words Les Truands diagonally across the middle, and OMNES PRO UNUM across the bottom. There is fine detail on the hilts of the swords, and there is (I believe) a tiny garnet mounted in the crossed area of each handle. The swords each measure 1-3/4" long. I believe these pins were received upon graduation from the military academies in the 1950's. The back is stamped STERLING, and this pin is in excellent condition.
