This is a very unusual Radio, manufactured by the Bendix Corporation in the 1940s, which appears to be a piece of furniture. There is a drop leaf on each side and no markings or dials that would lead anyone to believe that is was a radio. When one of the knobs is turned the top "drawer", which is made of glass with a wood finish, lights up with the AM band (see second photo). The on/off knob controls the volume and another knob changes the frequency settings. The radio includes the original vaccum tube works and is in excellent working order. This is one of the most unusual older radios that we have ever had in our antique shop.
