1933 Distinctly Elegant Original Vintage Deco Furness Bermuda Line Monarch of Bermuda Passenger List. Absolutely Fantastic Find! 1933 Original Vintage Deco Monarch of Bermuda Ships Passenger List. During the thirties, Furness Ship lines offered frequent and exceptionally stylish journeys from New York to Bermuda. By 1933, the Monarch of Bermuda with it's impressive 22,424 gross tonage and turbo-electric liner was the epitome of tasteful modernity. Only the best traveled abroad aboard this liner as evidenced by this lovely little passenger list! Measuring 7 x 10, done the cover art featured smart lettering in black with bright gilded lion in the center on a cream shaded background. Twenty pages in length, encompassing all points of interest for the Furness Line for passage on February 25, 1933. Gorgeous blue tinted photo image of the ship itself cresting the waves- an impressive sight to behold, pertinent info on sailing times, a few ads for the company are included. Passenger list itself takes up four full pages. Interesting info on amenities avail for the travelers- which for 1933 included the following:Marcel waves at the hair-dressers, accommodation befitting the be-furred members of the family, a soda fountain for the kiddies, and deck chair rentals. This is a wonderful example of high deco design for one of America's best cruise ships of the era! Condition overall is good- some minor darkening at the edges of the front cover, all pages intact. Will be stunning on display with any decor also a unique gift idea for the ardent fan of Art Deco graphic design or ship history!
