1930's or 40's Vintage Chinese Slippers

Unavailable
These very old, elegant embroidered ladies slippers of ivory silk are hand embroidered with teal designs and flowering vines sporting pink of ivory flowers. Each also has two lavender and multi colored butterflies near the toe. Edged in black silk. Leather soles appear completely hand stitched and show light wear, as though they're been worn only once or twice. Remnants of a red ink stamp on inside include the word fragments "Chur," "Woo--" and "Hong Kong" along with Chinese characters. A real find for the collector of vintage clothing or Chinese memorabilia. A few tiny wear spots in silk near the heels. Came with box labeled "Ruth Coulter Galleries, 10660 Carnegie Avenue, Cleveland 6, Ohio."
