1930's Nutting "Nethercote" In Original Frame

Unavailable
1930's Wallace Nutting 12x15 inch process picture of "Nethercote", in original frame and glass. "Nethercote Cottage", Mr. Nutting wrote, "is perhaps the most attractive that the author has ever found, out of many hundreds," according to the Wallace Nutting Library. This piece was one of eight titles produced by the Nutting Studio as process pictures in the 1930's. They were mechanically colored, copyrighted by Wallace Nutting, and identified by a label on the back. This print has the copyright symbol and WALLACE NUTTING in the lower left corner. On the back is a paper label that says "Nethercote, No. 7803, in Process Color, By Wallace Nutting". The original wood frame has dark gold painted sides, and a gilded and dark gold front with ornamental insets of Wedgwood blue. The frame measures a little larger than 13.5 inches by 16.75 inches; it is about 1 inch thick. The print is clean and retains good pastel colors. The frame and glass are intact. The frame shows light surface wear and some paint chipping along the bottom edge. The frame has the original backing, with some tearing of the backing at the top and left side. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition. Shipping / packaging will be $20.00.
