Absolutely Stunning Original Vintage Art Deco Ad taken from the pages of a December, 1928 issue of Saturday Evening Post Magazine. By Christmas season of 1928, Paramount Pictures was able to ardently prove that above any studio in Hollywood they offered the spice of life. Featuring some of the finest of actors, directors and producers, combined with the visual flair of illustrator Lionel Reiss, Paramount was ahead of the game during the advent of sound. For the month of December the offerings were diverse and entertaining and included Clara Bow and Gary Cooper in Wings, Clara Bow and Neil Hamilton in Three Week-Ends, Broadway veteran tear-jerker Ruth Chatterton in Sins of the Fathers, Esther Ralston in Joseph Von Sternberg's The Case of Lena Smith, Bebe Daniels in The Big Scoop, Charles Rogers and Mary Brain in Someone to Love, Gary Cooper and Nancy Carroll in The Shopworn Angel and Douglas MacClean in The Carnation Kid. Having brought sound to the masses the year before- Paramount also boasted that each of these selections featured either sound recording or sound with dialog. Great graphic done in black, white and red brings life to each of these fine films heavily featuring bright, vivacious talent Clara Bow and enormously popular hearth-throb Gary Cooper.
