1927 Vintage Deco Ad- Fabulous Fred Mizen Flapper Artwork World Loves Coca-Cola. Stunning and Rare Original Vintage Deco Coca Cola Ad taken from an issue of Saturday Evening Post Magazine. With the usual flair and flourish of tremendously talented illustrator/artist Fred Mizen, this ad presents a delightful and attractive young couple reaching hand across the globe to clink glasses of bubbly, refreshing, effervescent Coca-Cola. Great sens of romance and fantasy- she wears a sleek, brief bathing suit in sparkling white with scarlet trim, he is also in white winter-togs and sports a winning grin. Ad copy refers to annual sales of the popular product- in 1927 over seven million bottles a day and the catchy slogan of the time It had to be good to get where it is. Uncommon and utterly fabulous image- shading within this ad is very delicately green for the globe and sign- a bit darker than the scan. Measures 11 x 15- condition is good overall- wonderful example of the bright breezy and highly infectious color ads that made Fred Mizen and Coca-Cola enormously successful during the dazzling Deco Era! As an ardent collector of Coca-Cola ads for almost thirty years, I can tell you that this is the first and only time I've run into this particular ad. It is absolutely fantastic in person and will greatly enhance and compliment any decor!
