1926 Unique Vintage Art Deco Ad- Hans Flato Designed Ciro Perfume Bottle for Chevalier De La Nuit Perfume. Witty and Elegant Original Rare Vintage Art Deco Ad taken from the pages of Harper's Bazaar Magazine. Hans Flato had an inimitably chic glossy style that marked him as one of the busiest and most creative illustrators of the Art Deco period. Among his many talents he crafted several beautiful images of screen goddess Marlene Dietrich in movie poster format for Paramount- here in 1926 he was asked to fashion his own wonderful design by Ciro for their new Perfume cleverly titled Chevalier De La Nuit- or Night of the Knight. Flato turned this assignment into a daring tour de force- using the name of the perfume as inspiration he crafted a bottle which resembled a knight in armor with plumed mask in stark gray and dark crimson. This ad is notable for the imagery it's simplicity and absolute elegance of line. Flato's cute flapper signature drawing is seen a the bottom with the phrase The way to say remember me. Ad is rare and was only seen in high-end fashion magazines such as Harper's Bazaar. Measures 10 x 14 condition is bright and crisp will be marvelous on display!
