Early primitive Advertisment Sign for "The Pure Oil Pipe Line Co." Company which was located around the Sisterville, West Virginia area. From what I was told the Sign came from a local Railroad Station. Wooden Sign measures about 72" in length, 9 1/2" in width and is about 1 5/8" thick. Has Blue background with white lettering. I'm guessing Sign dates around the 1920's to 30's and I'm sure this Company no longer exists. Overall conditon I would consider very good. There is wood trim missing on the right end as shown in the last photo. Sign also has 3 vertical holes on the letter "E" in "The" and letter "O" in "Co". Almost certain this is probably where screws or nails were inserted to hang the Sign. Sign also has some minor paint wear and some splits in the wood but is solid and intact. Should not even bother you but is only mentioned for completeness in description. Sign would give a terrific look displayed in one's Home or Office or make a nice addition to any Oil collection.
