Absolutely Stunning Rare Original Color Vintage Jazz Age Ad taken from an early 1916 issue of Ladies Home Journal Magazine. Gorgeous use of color, spectacle and product placement- clever ad-copy showcases not one but a duo of useful Berry Brothers items Luxeberry White Enamel for perfectly splendid walls and ceilings and Liquid Granite Varnish for perfectly smooth immaculately beautiful surfaces that will stand the war of stepping feet at any lively modern dance. Unknown artist has placed the product in a wonderful whirling vivid setting- an old ante-bellum mansion where lovely frolicsome couples whirl round the floor- polished and gleaming like mellow old mahogany at a Mardi-Gras ball. Dancing became enormously popular in the years just prior to the advent of World War One- and even more so as the world went through drastic dramatic transformation. This beautiful ad is incredible to behold- the costumes while simple are done in a warm bright color palette and contrast exquisitely with the immaculate white walls and flooring. Note that since this ad is full-page the image has even more impact the height of the ceiling the moldings and the quaint chandeliers are glorious! Ad measures 12 x 17- the condition is just short of excellent- dazzling bright in person.
