Underwood postcard features a dapper couple whirling down the gleaming mahogany floor of a grand ballroom. Clarence F. Underwood's work here is stunning- his use of color, texture and illumination make this one of the prettiest of his many colored images that were created in larger format and reproduced as popular postcards. The painted wall which cleverly reflects the gorgeous shading of the lady's elegant dancing frock is another testament to his superbly nuanced eye. Divided back unsent made in Germany- less common than the American version. Condition is bright and clean overall very slight edgewear.
