1901 Canada Edward VII Crowned Head Bronze Dollar Pattern in Gem Proof. The obverse shows a crowned Edward VII and the reverse depicts a maple leaf wreath with a bowed ribbon at six o'clock, a crown at twelve o'clock, and "Canada" and "1901" in the middle. This Pattern is scarce and unlisted in Canadian and Krause coin catalogs. Mintage is only 500 and the coins were deigned and struck in England. This coin came from a 2001 Spink's of London auction sale called the Patina Collection. This coin is from the estate of the Pattern designer. THE IMAGE IS OF A BRONZE pattern that is identical except this coin for sale is copper. I am sorrry I don't have an image right now of this copper pattern but like I said, it is identical to the bronze pattern pictured.
