Here is a very unusual American antique, walnut lamp or parlor table made about 1890. Made of red walnut, this table has a very rich look and the style is a combination of early Colonial on the legs to Victorian Era on the top skirt and bottom gallery. The solid top is supported by a convex shape molded skirt. The legs are small in diameter ( spool turned) with a large 3 1/4 inch diameter ball at the top ( something you may see on an early Colonial piece of furniture.) The bottom center splay has a curved gallery on two ends. This gallery is made up of ball turned spindles holding up a serpentine shaped top rail( very Victorian). This is a large table, 26 inches square that can be used in many areas. Another quality piece from Staebel Antiques in Houston, Texas.
