This is an old 1890's era toy sewing machine that was made in England. There is no manufacturers name on the unit but it has Made in England stamped on the sewing plate. It is one of the very early stamped metal frames. It is in good overall condition with a few scratches to the paint and some tarnishing to the bare metal surfaces. The mechanism works and there is a needle in the machine, however, it does not sew as part of the lower horizontal lever that operates the looping mechanism has been broken. It is a beautiful decorative piece if not functional.
