The Comprehensive Family Bible, 1854. Bound in full black leather with gold tooling on the front and back covers. Raised bands on spine with extravagant gold tooling in compartments. All edges gilt. Also has dentelle edging on the inside covers. Binding is tight and secure with no weaknesses, in excellent condition. Over 50 very fine illustrations with a series of historical designs, and numerous authentic views, illustrative of the countries of the Bible.
