Authentic antique 17th century East European-Polish War Hammer, Nadziak. Details: A steal head with square section pin and long recurved rear fluke surmounted by a spike, decorated with silver koftgari work mounted on its original wooden haft covered with leather. Condition: In a good untouched condition, some losses to the damascening. These types of the War Hammer were widely used by many Eastern European nations Ukrainians Russians and Hungarians during the 17th and 18th century. Overall length: 60, 5 cm (23 3/4 in). A similar hammer is published in the Sotheby's Antique Arms and Armour catalogue 15 July 1997 UK with the price £1000-1500 (from 10 years ago)
