1786 NCS certified US Colonial Copper Vermont Baby Head Coin with Very Fine details, corrosion.

NCS has authenticated, net graded, certified, and sealed this rare coin.  NGC now puts NCS coins into NGC holders still with the details grading. You or I have this option, if we wish.

David Bowers on page 86 of his Encyclopedia of Colonial and Early American Coins lists Fine-12 @ $2700 and Very Fine-20 @ $10,500 and Extremely Fine-40 @ $38,000.

This coin, if you look at the images, has fairly decent surfaces.  Yes, some granulation but not as bad as it sounds.  Most Baby Heads do NOT come nice:

Bowers: "Obverse: Infantile portrait. Only variety with the AUCTORI at lefrt and VERMON to the right.  Revers: INDE (group of dots) ET: LIB.  Prominent cloth or sash from seated figure's shoulder near branch hand. Four wheat sheaves on the shield, reflective of Vermont agriculture.   NOTES: Nearly always seen on imperfect planchets with fissures and usually in lower grades.  Usually dark brown or black. The wheat sheaves are usually mostly or completely missing. The inspiration for the youthful portrait has been a matter of conjecture.  For many years this has been one of the most popular and sought-after Vermont varieties."

You will be happy with this Baby Head.
