1777 US Colonial Non-Regal Contemporary CFT HalfD WEIRD
Description:

1777 US Colonial English Copper Halfpenny Coin with incorrect date, Bust of George facing LEFT, Gigantic head of Britannia...Also, the reverse botton of the feet and draped cloting and shield are all blobbed together with no line below that and above the date.

Obverse legend is most unusual: Glaucous Dei Pax...no, I do not know Latin

Reverse: legend is "Bonney" ....something NOT Britannia

George's head is misshapen and Britannia's figure is very plump at her waist and hips.

This contemporary CFT found in America proves that many Colonists could not read and just accepted this coin because it was copper and looked kinda sorta OK to them.

Not a Machin's Mills and probably not made in Ireland.  Most likely struck in England, maybe Birmingham.
