14K white gold stone cameo brooch Circa 1920s. The cameo is carved of banded agate, a hard material that grows in layers in the earth. The carving that results has 2 distinct colors, in this case its black and white. The woman depicted has a flower in her wavy hair and one on the shoulder of her dress. The filigree frame is nicely pierced and features a seed pearl border. The cameo measures 1.75 inches long and 1.25 inches across. The pin stem secures with a scrolling lock and there is hinged bail that allows you to wear this as a pendant.
