These tiny little spoons could easily be used for baby spoons since they have such a small bowl( 1" x 1 1/2"). So if you don't have the rest of this fabulous 1900 set you can use these as the best little baby gifts that reed and baron makes. Each spoon is 4 1/4" long, marked sterling, pat May 22 1900 and then the hallmarks an Eagle and 'R" and a lion. Reed & Barton Les Cinq Fleurs (Five Flowers) is exquisite multi-motif, scallop-shaped sterling silver, where the handle is tipped with the design of one of five different flowers. A vine design that begins midway on the handle weaves its way down onto the utensil bowl. Released in 1900, Les Cinques Fleurs shows the strong influence of Art Nouveau, where artistic, organic shapes were applied to household items. This beautiful pattern was crafted by Reed & Barton of Taunton, MA, a company tracing its origins to a jewelry store founded by Isaac Babbitt in 1822.
