19th century gilt copper swelled body trotting horse weathervane with an applied molded zinc head, very nice flowing form and wind wiped maim in the manor of A. L. Jewell, some normal wear along with b-b gun pelts, traces of the original gilding, overall a fantastic piece of 19th century American folk art measuring 17 inches height (the vane without the base) 23 inches height with the base.
