It is our pleasure to offer a terrific claret jug. The item is most attractive and has a presence. The body is covered with what one can describe as spun glass which is most interesting. The top appears to be pewter, and the spout is in the form of a bearded mask of a man.The handle is made of glass that has striations and is clearer than the body. This item was purchased in Russia while a diplomat was posted there. Based on the place of purchase we speculate that it is Russian, but it may well be from a neighbouring country.
