Effanbee's Storybook Doll Series has been a favorite of little girls (and big ones, too!) since they were introduced in the 1970's. This is Mary (Quite Contrary). She is 11 1/2 inches tall and wearing a pinafore-type dress with sown-on flowers. Also, white hose, pink bows in her hair, and she's carrying a little basket containing flowers in her left hand. She is fully jointed, has rooted hair, and her eyes open and shut. She appears to have never been played with. Sorry, no box.
