Chinese Export Rose Medallion Deep Dinner Plate measuring 10" in Diameter. Alternating Panels of birds, butterflies, and roses with alternating panels of court scene. Lots of gold and gilding throughout and in the hair of the people. . The enameled decorations have a raised texture and include butterflies, birds, roses swirls, vines and fans. The Central medallion nicely decorated with a bird and a rose within a ring of copper bronze metallic tone enameling. The backside has some pock marks here and there which is a good indication of age. There are no distinct marks but there is a smear of red paint on the just outside of the ring and a blotch of green just on the underside of the rim. There a some manufacturing flaw and flaw that are consistent with age.
