This vintage canteen measures 5.5 in. diameter. Encased in a twill like covering, with cork on screw on cap intact. The canteen is marked Junior Hike N Y.. I believe this was a military type academy, perhaps the forerunner of the boy Scouts? I have been unable to find much information on this with an internet search. any information will be welcome. Definitely a nice old item in good condition.
