Pair of weighted high quality plaster Borghese book ends early 1900's hand painted with gilt trim. The red base paint showing through the gilt on the decorative top and sides as well as the three sided base. The pair are marked on the bottom with the Borghese label. Face of each different with a camel background and hand painted floral,one with blue floral larkspur spikes and green leaves,the other a bouquet of peonies in white with deep pink edges. Black felt on bottom of both bases.Green metal tongues on each to fit beneath the books for stability. Excellent condition. Measure 6H X 4.75L X 5D.
