This is a small Chinese sewing basket. It probably dates from the late 1920's or '30's. Considering its age, it's in good condition. In the photo it appears to have a separation in the reeds, but that is due to shrinkage, I think. I have not washed the Peking blue glass ring. It and the other beads and coins are in very good condition. The braid with coin is a little faded and the lower part of one tassel is gone. Nothing has been restored on this little basket. One woman who buys my Chinese baskets actually decorates her kitchen ceiling with them. I've never put this one on the market.
