Antique, 18th century, huge hunting-signal horn, most likely of the Scottish origin. This bizarre instrument is in its original condition with leather tube extension to increase the power of sound and decorated with woven leather, bone collar and woven leather loop. Such types of the horns were used by the highlanders as a communication devise in the mountains for the combat and the hunting purpose. Total length is: 24 ½ inches (62.3cm)
